Introducing The DON! This is the ultimate vegan Italian sub created by Chef Max at Herbivore Chicago. It features housemade salami, pepperoni, provolone, lettuce, tomato, mayonnaise, and vinaigrette. This incredible sandwich was launched on November 17 at a Herbivore pop-up event at The Beer Temple in Chicago, IL. The line was nonstop, and The Don quickly sold out. Fortunately, the rest of the menu still offered delicious options for those who missed out, including Mama’s Meatball Sub, The Italian Stallion Cheesesteak, Arancini, Pistachio Chocolate Chip Cookie, and a quart of Mama’s Meatballs in Sunday Gravy. There was something to satisfy everyone!
